The main focus of ITC is in the supply of IT professionals to organisations in Singapore. In addition, ITC provides Consultancy services to local enterprises in helping them set up their computer facilities and networks. Thereafter, these enterprises can retain the services of ITC to provide manpower in maintaining and upgrading the facilities. ITC transfers the know-how to these enterprises over a period of time by handholding personnel in these enterprises to manage the facilities. In the IT arena, ITC is keen to explore other sources of IT professionals. For example, ITC has been attracting suitable IT professionals from Thailand to work in Singapore. Besides the IT area, ITC has plans to expand into other professional fields such as engineering especially in the electrical/electronics engineering area. The supply of skilled technicians in other fields will also be looked into. ITC adopts a very strict criterion in the selection of suitable candidates to work in Singapore. For the IT professional, candidates with university qualifications need to have three years working experience before they can be considered for selection by ITC. For candidates with a diploma qualification, they need to work for eight years before they can be considered for selection. Management
